Published in 1935, first published in 1824. Volume XVIII in the Large Type Border series. In full red soft prize leather binding from Wyggerton Grammar School for Boys in Leicester. Contains a frontispiece by James D. Linton, as well as all eleven other illustrated plates from various artists, including Frank Short and W. Boucher. Collated complete. Considered to be the most autobiographical of the Waverly Novels, Scott plays on the idea of a third Jacobite rebellion.
