The cover was designed by Donald Judd who also contributes the essay 'Complaints (Part I)' which rejected the imposed broad definition of Minimalism, and Barbara Reise writes on the same theme in the essay 'Untitled 1969'. Sol LeWitt's 'Drawing Series 1968 (Fours)' is also featured as an artwork, along with 'An Opera' by Carl Andre. Robert Smithson writes on 'Aerial Art', and Jonathan Benthall writes on 'Technology and Art'. Dan Flavin also contributes.
