59 sheets of thin untrimmed Japan-paper ('Washi', ca. 32 x 23 cm), each with black-ink brushwork (some vertical, some horizontal) in Toki's famous pictographic manner, most of them monogrammed by the artist; loosely tipped-on slightly larger thin white cardboards (ca. 38 x 26 cm), often as folded double-sheets (unfolded ca. 38 x 52 cm). *** A LARGE COLLECTION SET OF TOKI'S BRUSHWORK ORIGINALS, OFTEN WITH THE ARTIST'S HOLOGRAPH MONOGRAMME. - From the estate of german sports-official Gert Abelbeck - who during his cooperation with the japanese sports-ministry around the 1964 Summer-Olympic Games - created a Cinema-Movie 'Nisshin Geppo'(Japan - Great Country of Sports) in which Toki appeared as former professional athlete, now sports-university teacher as well as artist teaching brushwork-classes ('Sumi-e'). The movie was awarded the National Filmprize at the 'Berliner Filmfestspiele'(Berlin Film Festival), Toki also illustrated the German National Olympic Committee's (NOK) official book-edition for the 18th Summer-Olympics in Tokyo 1964 which is enclosed in this offer.
