Woodcut text illustrations. Bound in contemporary paneled calf, expertly rebacked in period style with raised bands to the spine. The clasps have been restored, the hinges mended, and the preliminaries and following gathering neatly re-hinged. There is some scuffing to the boards along with wear to the edges and corners. The front hinge is starting. The title page features a large woodcut vignette printed in red and black, with a neat, later owner's name lettered below the imprint date and a professional repair to the upper corner. Internally, the text exhibits moderate toning, light foxing in places, and light edgewear to a few leaves at the beginning of the text.
