Furthermore this article illustrates how both logical positivism and legal positivism grew parallel in a same time period during two great wars. Central argument I seek to explain in this article is to demonstrate Hans Kelsen as a legal modernist and how Vienna circle made impacts upon his thoughts.

Apart from mere analyzing facts this study further examines the affinities that existed between concept of Dharma and Aquinas' theory of Natural Law.

Furthermore objective of this article lies in examining the contribution made by major Soviet jurists to the realm of international law and in order to comprehend the scope of state and place of international law in Soviet Union, this article has made a historical observation. Results emerging from this article could be utilized in appreciating the scholarly contribution of USSR to international law and at the same time this article has unveiled anomalies existed between Marxian doctrine and Soviet practice on law and state.
