Softcover, bound in gray wraps in a red & green plaid dust wrapper upon which is mounted a title label illustrated with a portrait of the poet Robert Burns. The dust jacket is heavily chipped with several tears and small pieces out from the edges. There are tears along the dust jacket's folds. 32 pages, illustrated with a tipped-in frontispiece portrait and 30 photographic illustrations of Scottish scenes and scenery above stanzas from Burns' poems. Good.

Internally there's a little, occasional foxing throughout and one leaf with a creased corner. A collection of short snippets of humours stories and legends regarding Aberdeen, the Granite City. According to the foreword in the book, the snippets were mostly collected from the annals of a society established to help Aberdonians tell stories against themselves, an exercise they found entertaining because their English neighbours were gullible enough to believe them.
