In July 1968, the Bulletin of the Juan Manuel de Rosas Institute of Historical Research (2nd Series, I, 1) published an article by Galo García Godoy titled Jorge Luis Borges: A ROSISTA? (pp. 4-5). This brief masterpiece which, were it not for its pervasive irony, would be a blatant diatribe first celebrates Borges as a singular pioneer of historical revisionism and a courageous defender of criollismo in distressing times. However, it concludes by offering him the Institute's platform and playfully proposing a dissertation topic: Me and Rosas, thereby elevating Borges's ego to the status of a historical force.
