Tarbat was an amateur poet, playwright, and short story writer from Somerset, who worked as a schoolmaster at Wells Cathedral for most of his life.Most of his lovely poetry reflects to his early life in the English countryside, in places such as Fareham, Hampshire, and Devon.Prior owner's book plate to the first pastedown.
