Two very good books in black full leather covers; with blind stamped decoration to boards and with a bright gilt vignette to the fronts; bright titles and decoration in gilt to six bayed spine having raised bands; slight edge rubs. Internally very good and free of inscriptions except for delightful copperplate date to verso of flyleaves; very well illustrated with twenty-four steel engraved plates protected by tissue guards; bindings tight; virtually free of foxing; marbled end papers; all edges gilt.
