Early issue of this underground paper serving as the newsletter and mouthpiece for the Crusade for Justice, an organization devoted to the Chicano/Chicana rights movement in Denver, Colorado. Crusade for Justice was founded by Rudolpho 'Corky' Gonzales. It originated as a way to combat police brutality against the Chicano/Chicana community in Denver, but grew to promote social programs, art programs and other services. As with other liberation movements for an underrepresented group, the Crusade for Justice faced continuous harassment from the police and government authorities, culminating in a 1973 raid by Denver police that erupted in gunfire, leaving one Crusade member dead and others wounded.
