Softcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Marked "Second Rehears." Quarto. Stapled mimeographed leaves printed rectos only. 85pp. Some foxing and moderate wear on the first leaf, else near fine. A comedy about an Ohio man (played by Barry Sullivan) who encounters a Scottish woman. The Theatre Guild on the Air began as an hour long dramatic series on radio and later for television from 1953 to 1963 sponsored by the United States Steel Corporation. In 1963 it went off the air, the last surviving live anthology series from the Golden Age of Television. The program mixed both adaptations of traditional plays along with original scripts by writers such as Rod Sterling. The series featured many notable actors included Martin Balsam, Tallulah Bankhead, James Dean, Keir Dullea, Andy Griffith, Rex Harrison, Celeste Holm, Jack Klugman, Peter Lorre, Walter Matthau, Paul Newman, George Peppard, Johnny Carson, and many more, some in their on-screen debuts. *OCLC* locates no copies of this script.
