Spencer collected laundry accounts, wrote for local Leicester newspapers where she reported favourably on the suffrage movement, and published three novels informed by her socialist ideals. Octavo. Original pale brown cloth, titles to front cover and spine in gilt, decorative rules to spine ends in brown, green floral-patterned endpapers. Spine cocked, little bumps to ends, cloth lightly soiled, gilt bright, faintest foxing to outer leaves. A very good copy.
