It was first published in 1659, and reached its fifth edition in 1694. all editions were printed at Wittenberg and its use was probably confined primarily to that university" (Thorndike). - Die hübschen Kupfertafeln zeigen neben Planeten und der Mondoberfläche nach Hevelius besonders figürliche Sternbilder. Das Frontispiz zeigt mehrere Personen beim Beobachten des Sternenhimmels. - Durchgehend papierbedingt gebräunt. Einige Tafeln mit sehr sauber restaurierten Einrissen.
