Based on the 1973 play by Adrian Mitchell, which was based on the classic 1719 novel "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe. A post-civil rights movement take on the Defoe classic, wherein Crusoe finds himself stranded o…n an island with a black islander, whom he names Friday, and finds himself incapable of seeing the islander beyond his narrow and racist colonialist worldview.
