Adolf Meyer (1868 - 1946) a Pari…sian, was educated in Dresden, Germany. By the mid 1890s, he was a member of the Royal Photographic Society living in London, making portraits of the fashionable set. He exhibited widely with the Pictorialists in Paris, London, New York, among others, and was a Fellow of the Council of the Photo-Secession. By 1914, living in New York, he was appointed as the official fashion photographer for Vogue.
