Die Familie emigrierte 1939 in die Vereinigten Staaten und ließ sich in Ohio nieder, wo Robert Treuer Gewerkschafter und Aktivist der indigenen Anishinabe wurde und mehrer Bücher veröffentlichte.Mit einem Nachwort von Thomas Schmidinger.
