Books such as this one essentially manuals for the do-it-yourselfer or the home handy man typically get battered over the years. Here is a particularly nice copy in very good condition of a handsome volume, titled: Everyone s Automobile Repair Manual by H.W. Slauson, Morris A. Hall & Howard Greene. This small hardcover book (5 ¾ x 8 ¼ inches, 408 pages) was published by the Leslie Publishing Co. of Boston, Massachusetts, dated 1930. This is a revised edition, and the sub-titles read: Simplified Short Cuts to Maximum Mileage at Minimum Cost. The book is bound in dark blue embossed boards with gilt title panels on cover and spine. The book is very well illustrated throughout with photos, diagrams and drawings of car repair details. It is a handsome book, inside and out! Condition: This book is in near fine condition (as mentioned, something quite unusual for these workshop-oriented manuals that are typically handled with grimy hands). The hard covers have a bit of slight bumping to the corners and a bit of faint loss of finish on the rear outer edge. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and illustrations are clean and bright throughout, without any toning or foxing. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound.
