She went there regularly. She had "connections" there, and every year she attended the open days of her friend Annie Persuy's bookbinding school.Marianne Clouzot died of a heart attack on July 23, 2007, during a stay with her family in Touraine. She was buried in her family's cradle, in Niort, where the town's Library and Museum preserves the archives, writings, bibliographies, and filmographies of the various members of the Clouzot family.From her first drawings exhibited for the Victory in 1918 to the end, Marianne Clouzot retained her playfulness, the acuity of her eye, the grace of her line, and the clarity of her gaze. Having kept her diary since the age of nine, she was still drawing scarf designs in May 2007. She retained her youthful spirit, her elegant bearing, and her smile to the very end. She exhibited at the Grandville Museum during the summer of 2006 and published two bibliophile books in November. …
