Washburn" and "H.R. Goodnow" . Several lines from an inspirational poem are printed in black on the verso. Near fine. The Worcester manufacturer, lawyer and author Charles Grenfill Washburn (1857-1928) served as a U.S. Congressman. He was married to the daughter of Horatio Nelson. He was a lifelong friend of Theodore Roosevelt and wrote a book about him.The scientist H.R. Goodnow wrote on the Spectroscope.
