XII-196 pp., frontispiece and 50 pl. of erotic cameo engravings; XXVII-98 pp., frontispiece and 50 pl. of erotic cameo engravings. .The antiquary Hughes, known as d'Hancarville (1719-1805), collaborated with William Hamilton in his archaeological research in Naples; "The engravings are almost all Hancarville's own invention, and not taken from antique stones or cameos, as the preface suggests. The text offers an explanation filled with passages borrowed from Suetonius and Martial. This work was condemned to destruction in 1815 and 1826." She inspired the poet to write several collections, including "Odes en son honneur" and "Chansons pour Elle,". Acte de décès de Philomène Boudin. Philomène Boudin dite Esther, fut, comme Eugénie Krantz, la compagne de Verlaine dans ses dernières années. Elle inspira au poète plusieurs recueils dont "Odes en son honneur" et "Chansons pour Elle.Depuis le début de l'année 1895 , Philomène n'était plus la "veuve adorée" de Verlaine. Une violente dispute les avait séparés le 21 janvier et le poète avait repris la vie en ménage avec Eugénie Krantz. .Malade, vieillissant, Verlaine rencontra deux jeunes prostituées Eugénie Krantz et Philomène Boudin. Elles furent toutes deux ses protégées et ses maîtresses. She died on 15 August 1984, in Aix-en-Provence, Bouches-du-Rhône, France, at the age of 87.Provenance: Pierre Spivakoff (1933-2012)?Après des études au Cours Simon, Pierre Spivakoff crée à Paris le tout premier café-théâtre « Le Royal » situé boulevard Raspail où il met en scène des pièces de Fey deau, Ionesco, Dumas, Rachilde, Molière et Corneille. En 1973, il met en scène «Délirante Sarah», une pièce autour de Sarah Bernhardt où il interprète le rôle prin cipal. Le spectacle représentera la France dans de nom breux Festivals européens (Rome, Belgrade, Berlin?) et se prolongera à la comédie des Champs-Elysées durant toute l'année 1974.
