Pbd. mit eiuner Deckelillustration (Lichtschnitt) von Elisabeth Dibbern), gut erhalten - in Tinte von Andreas Euler eigenhändig signiert; limitierte Ausgabe : 180 vom Verfasser signierte Exemplare wurden dem Berliner Bibliophilen-Abend zur Feier seines 25jährigen Bestehens am 15. März 1930 gewidmet vom Verlag Julius Bard. (Seltene erste und einzige Ausgabe eines verschollenen Epos gegen den Krieg.Hinter dem Autorennamen ANDREAS EULER verbirgt sich der Münchner Zivilrechtler Johann David Sauerländer, der u.a. 1921 i.A. des Reichsjustizministeriums an der Ausarbeitung einer neuen Zivilprozeßordnung beteiligt war. Für diese Arbeit siedelte er für ein Jahr nach Berlin über, wo das Epos entstand. Schon als Soldat im Ersten Weltkrieg hatte Sauerländer PAMPHLETE GEGEN DEN KRIEG verfasst, womit er sich aber nicht zufrieden geben wollte. Er plante etas Großes WIRKLICHES GEGEN DEN KRIEG. Durch Zufall stieß er auf die weithin unbekannten Epen Shakespeares und begann sie für sich zu übersetzen. Diese Arbeit erweckte in ihm den dunklen Drang, es einmal selbst mitr einem Epos zu versuchen. Den Stoff fand er in Fouque s Novelle DAS GALGENMÄNNCHEN. In nur 2 Monaten des Jahres 1922 entstand die Dichtung SOZUSAGEN TRAUMHAFT. Letzte Korrekturen und Ergänzungen wurden in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Grazer Benndorf-Kreis, der sich für das Epos interessierte, in den Jahren 1923-1926 vorgenommen. Der Verlag hatte mit dem Epos wenig Glück, nur wenige Exemplare wurden verkauft, der Rest 1933 wohlweislich eingestampft.).…
