III. 1838). - Minna bzw. Mine (eigentlich Wilhelmine Johanna) Hensler (1777-1851) war seit 1794 mit ihrem Onkel, dem späteren Staatsrat und Direktor der Generalsalzdirektion Carl Alberti verheiratet. Sie war eine Tochter aus der ersten Ehe von Albertis Schwester Johanna Dorothea Wilhelmina mit dem Schriftsteller und Juristen Peter Wilhelm Hensler. Eine weitere Tochter, Elisabeth Charlotte (um 1777-1858), ehelichte 1803 den Erfinder und Pionier der optischen Telegrafie Carl Philipp Heinrich Pistor. Auch aus dieser Ehe gingen einige Kinder hervor, darunter Friederike Dorothea Elisabeth ("Betty", 1808-87), die 1832 den Rechtsgelehrten Adolf August Friedrich Rudorff heiratete. Eines ihrer Kinder war der spätere Komponist, Musikpädagoge und Naturschützer Ernst Rudorff, der auf einem beiliegenden Doppelblatt notiert: "No. 23. Henriette Herz. 3 Briefe an meine Großtante Mine Alberti geb. Hensler". Von seinem Großvater Carl Pistor sollte Rudorff eine bedeutende Sammlung von Musikautographen erben (die seinerzeit von Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy geordnet worden war) und danach noch vergrößern; ein Jahr nach seinem Tod 1916 wurde sie von der Musikbibliothek Peters in Leipzig erworben und kam mit dieser zur Musikbibliothek innerhalb der Stadtbibliothek Leipzig. - 2 Briefe mit U. ("H. Herz"), der kürzeste Brief ohne Unterschrift. Ein Brief mit kleinem Buchstabenverlust durch Papierdurchbruch (alt hinterlegt). Weiters beiliegend ein von zwei verschiedenen Händen adressiertes und beschriebenes Kuvert "Für Wilhelmine Alberti | Der seel. Herz ihre Briefe". …

Small 4to. 2 1/3 pages on bifolium. To Dr. Friedländer, possibly the archivist and librarian Gottlieb F. Friedländer (1805-78), providing biographical details on the German writer Franz Michael Leuchsenring (b. 1746): "Wenig nur [.] kann ich Ihnen über Leuchsenring sagen - was ich aber so einigermaßen weiß theile ich Ihnen gerne mit. Er lebte still u. war ein Erzieher oder auch nur Lehrer des verstorbenen Königs [Friedrich Wilhelm III], er lebte als Litterat u. zwar sehr unbemittelter; später versprach er sich der Tochter bemittelter Eltern, welche die Heirath aber nicht billigten, was das Mädchen sehr unglücklich machte. Einige Jahre nachher verheirathete er sich mit der Hofdame Baronin von Bielefeld, ging mit ihr nach Paris u. gerieth auch dort bald in so dürftigen Umständen, daß seine zarte, gebildete, feine Frau die geringsten Magddienste selbst verrichten mußte. Der Mann brachte den größten Theil des Tages im Bette zu - seine Thätigkeit war nie bedeutend bei allem Verstand u. Wissen - was beides groß in ihm war. Er starb in Paris, in welchem Alter weiß ich nicht.
