Out of the book: "Paradigmata Graphices Variorum Artificum". slightly stained on the outer margin, otherwise in good condition. || Jan de Bisschop was a lawyer who learned drawing from Bartholomeus Breenbergh. He was a founding member of the Confrerie Pictura. According to Houbraken he did a great servive to the arts with his instructional drawings copied from the artists Annibale Carracci, Tintoretto, Jacopo Bassano, Paolo Veronese, Rubens, Michelangeloand Anthony van Dyck. || Jan de Bisschop war ein Rechtsanwalt, der das Zeichnen bei Bartholomeus Breenbergh lernte.
