The first part of the book explores the notions of self and self-awareness. It also describes and investigates the concept of experiential learning - the means of learning through experience. The second half of the book offers concrete examples of how to put the first part into practice. It offers a discussion of the interpersonal skills involved in one-to-one counselling and in group work and suggests a range of exercises that can help in the development of these. Sample programmes of how to run counselling, group and self-awareness workshops are also offered.
