Ángel González (Oviedo, 1925 - Madrid, 2008) es sin duda uno de los mayores y más representativos poetas de la generación que se ha bautizado como "del medio siglo" o "del 50". Este volumen fue preparado por el propio autor, presentándonos lo que él consideró como mejor o más suyo (una autoantología) y ofreciéndonos su postura ante la literatura, y concretamente ante la poesía y su propia lectura de su poesía. El poeta, que fue también profesor de literatura, nos propone esa lectura basándose en dos elementos, que muchos críticos desprecian por subjetivos: las "intenciones" y la "situación", y que, evidentemente, el autor conoce mejor que el crítico.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Ángel González Muñiz (1925-2008) fue un poeta español de la Generación del 50. Premio Príncipe de Asturias de las Letras en 1985 y académico y Premio Reina Sofía de Poesía Iberoamericana en 1996, publicó su primer libro de poemas en 1956.
