The ad hoc Force was raised by him in a very short period of time, infiltrating and operating behind the enemy lines, capturing of Aridhok and Nejapir with handful of men, carrying out the Uri- Poonch Link Up and the attack on Thil against a vastly superior enemy force, stand out and bear testimony to his military prowess and leadership.
