The Author: Ludger Kuehnhardt ist Professor of Political Science at the University of Freiburg (Germany). He has been Visiting Professor at the University of Jena, at the University of Cape Town, and at the College d'Europe in Bruges. Kuehnhardt held visiting research positions at Harvard University, St. Antony's College Oxford, and at the Hoover Institution on war, revolution and peace, Stanford University.
