Addressed out of frustration and desperation to the author Ernest Hemingway, The Last Fiesta is set in northern Spain in 1995. With the ETA conflict as its backdrop, the story traces the reunion and subsequent shared journey of four old school friends through the beautiful Basque country, up into the mountains of the Picos de Europa, then onto Pamplona for the running of the bulls. As the friends travel, dark truths about their pasts emerge and entwine them in a way that will ultimately lead to disaster. Andy Rumbold’s eloquent and evocative first novel was shortlisted for distinguished novelist Susan Hill's Longbarn Books First Novel Award.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Andy Rumbold was born in London. After graduating from Birmingham University, he decided to spend six months in northern Spain, and ended up staying for four and a half years. He is now back in England, teaching English and Spanish at a school in Surrey, and working on his second novel. ‘The Last Fiesta’ was shortlisted for the Longbarn Books First Novel Award, judged by novelist Susan Hill
