""Three Live Ghosts"" is a comedic play written by Frederic Stewart Isham and first published in 1918. The story revolves around three British soldiers who are presumed dead during World War I but actually survive and are stranded on a deserted island. They eventually make their way back to London, only to find that their families have all moved on and their estates have been sold. The three soldiers decide to pose as ghosts to scare off the new occupants of their former homes, but their plan goes awry when they encounter a group of German spies. All were shaky. You can all go to ell, said the greenish little man, shaking a fist in the direction from whence they had come. Hymn of hate! said the yellowish man in a tone that had always been nonchalant. ear im! Mockingly. apless arry! You go to ell too! said the greenish man. Thank you, said the yellow ghost.
