Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Stephen Dunning taught high school English in St. Paul, Los Alamos, and Tallahassee before teaching English education at Duke, Northwest­ern, and The University of Michigan. His earliest publications were articles, texts, and (as co-editor with Lueders and Smith) such anthologies as "Reflection On A Gift Of Watermelon Pickle..." In 1975, the year he served as President of NCTE, he began writing poetry and, in 1984, fiction. His poems are gathered in six chapbooks-one, Running With Bill (1985), is dedicated to Stafford. His collection of short fiction is To The Beautiful Women (1990). Recognitions include winning the "Tamarack Award," the "World's Best Short Short Story" contest, the "James B. Hall Award for Short Fiction," two creative artist grants, and five PEN Syndi­cated Fiction awards.
