In Vol I., Plate A., Figs. 11. And iii. It is the under-side of the beetle which is in each case represented (as mentioned in the text) by the left-hand portion of the figure, and not the upper portion under the elytra (which is represented in Fig. I.) this point was criticized ina review in Nature, and might certainly prove mis leading, if not explained.
