But how do social forces shape what they learn? What role does women's studies play in their education? How can college curricula be transformed to best serve all women? Examining the multiple relationships of women to education, this volume documents the history of women's attempts to gain access to education, as well as what and how they have learned. Individual essays explore the development and impact of women's studies, the significance of women's colleges, and the future of curriculum transformation, among other topics."
