Itzhak Brook, MD, MSc, is a professor of pediatrics and medicine at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. He is also an attending physician in pediatrics at the Georgetown University Medical Center and the former chairman of the Anti-infective Drug Advisory Committee of the FDA. He is a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Society for Pediatric Research, and the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, apart from being a member of more than 20 professional organizations.
