Reseña del editor:
A lot of new information keeps on generating and enriching every sphere of plant nematology. The primary aim of the present book Recent Advances in Plant Nematology"" is to present comprehensive and critical review of the work done on different newer aspects of subjects like biochemical research, taxonomy, application of computers in nematode identification, different nematode management strategies and other recent aspects of plant nematology. Contents on newer aspects of plant nematology will be of great help to plant Hematologist for tackling the nematode problems using recent scientific and technological information compiled in the book. The book will be useful to researchers, teachers, students and extension workers of Plant Nematology and Plant Pathology. 1 nematode induced galls and their histopathology-a review. 2 biochemical research on plant parasitic nematodes in india and its significance. 3 biochemical and histchemical alteration resulting nematode infection in plant- a review. 4 electrophoresis, isozymes and nematodes identification. 5 taxonomy of dorylaimida with special reference to phytonematodes. 6 species and races of root-knot nematode in india. 7 application of computers in nematode identification. 8 role of zoological survey of india in indian nematology. 9 physiologica specialisation in cereal and potato cyst nematodes. 10 sex attraction and coputation behaviour in nematodes. 11 environment, agriculture and nematology. 12 biological control of insects using nematodes. 13 nematodes management-and overview. 14 crop resistance to nematodes. 15 vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizal(VAM) fungi: nematode management and growth responses in forage crops. 16 strategies for the control of plant parasitic nematodes with special reference to IPM. 17 botanicals in the management of plant parasitic nematodes. 18 DNA based methods for identification of nematodes. 19 culture of plant parasitic namatodes: prolems and perspective.
