A work that deals with the Portuguese coins struck in India from the beginning of the 16th century up to 1880, this book is divided in 4 parts with the first part giving general observations on Portuguese mints in India. The 2nd part treats the successive issues of money chronologically up to 1580. The third and fourth part deals with coins struck between 1580 to 1880 with each part describing in detail the coinage to 150 years respectively. The book was published in 1880.
