Shannon Cervone is the quintessential multitasker—business by day, author by night, wife and mom all the time. Every day is about managing while enjoying the journey. Shannon knows the importance of raising her children, but also knows it’s just as important to live life with them. Shannon’s inspirations come from experience. She wrote The Black Suitcase when her husband traveled to audit Major League Baseball teams at their home ballparks. Their son, too young to voice his feelings on the absence of his father, told the story through his expressive big blue eyes. Alessandro Vene is an artist, illustrator, game designer, production designer, children’s book illustrator, and he also makes good pizza. He was born in Firenze, Italy, where he learned to draw from the classic art of the city, and currently lives in Hawaii. He specializes in pencil, pen, and digital painting, and studied as a set designer and illustrator.
