This title brings together the proceedings and research from the ACADIA 2013 conference, focusing on adaptive architecture. ACADIA 2013: Adaptive Architecture is the proceedings of the 33rd annual international conference of the Association for Computer-Aided Design in Architecture, hosted by the Ontario School of Architecture, University of Waterloo, in partnership with the University at Buffalo, the University of Nottingham, and The London Building Centre Trust. This volume brings together the conference's peer-reviewed and juried research on computational design focused on emerging themes of adaptive and complex systems within contemporary architecture. Papers, research and design posters, keynote presentations and ACADIA 2013 Award papers are included together with information on current organization of the society.

Philip Beesley is a professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. Omar Khan is Associate Professor and Chair in the Dept. Architecture at Buffalo University. Michael Stacey is Chair in Architecture and Director of Architecture at the University of Nottingham.
