Críticas:
"The most enjoyable cricket book I've read for a while. It scores on many fronts. There are some excellent (and unfamiliar) anecdotes, a terrific cast of characters, thought-provoking analysis and disarming honesty." --Andrew Radd, Telegraph

"Does a good job at getting behind the public image. Tales of playing alongside and facing the biggest names in the game abound, as well as meeting celebrities around the world. I can't remember Linda Lovelace cropping up in a cricket book before and the authors have done a remarkably good job, every chapter containing stories that will make you laugh out loud. Indeed, his tale of waking up naked in an Indian hotel room with a mirrored ceiling is one of the funniest I have read in any cricket book. So too his telling of the South African plan to dismiss a top Sri Lankan batsman, relaid from captain at slip to the bowler, Brett Schulz, in Afrikaans." --Peakfan blog

"Robin Jackman has a seemingly inexhaustible fund of stories and the entertainment seldom flags. Jackers - A Life in Cricket is one of the best cricketing autobiographies I have read. The autobiography of the Shoreditch Sparrow is highly recommended." --Martin Chandler, Cricket Web
Reseña del editor:
Jackers: A Life in Cricket is the autobiography of former Surrey and England cricketer Robin Jackman - now a highly-regarded international cricket commentator, working on South African television. His life in cricket makes for a fascinating story as Jackman has encountered virtually all the cricketing greats of the modern era - many of whom he played with or against. Ian Botham, Viv Richards and Mike Procter are just three of the star names who feature in the book. His first-class career spanned 17 years, during which time he took more than 1,800 wickets, being named Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1981. Jackman's international debut came late, at 35, when his controversial deportation from Guyana set the whole series in jeopardy. Now admired for his expert analysis, his deep knowledge of the game and his sense of humour, all these qualities shine through in Jackman's highly entertaining autobiography.
