Reseña del editor:
The early colonists on Mars are unable to intervene to stop the terrible sequence of events that is hurtling Mankind towards oblivion on Earth. They have their own problems to solve, from a savagely inhospitable atmosphere and raging storms to religious-fundamentalists infighting on Earth and cultural prejudice. But behind all civilisations are the real people who actually make things happen, who take risks and focus on the future, no matter how crazy that may seem. It is people like Jules, Eva and Ted who are the visionaries, with a passion for the survival of their own kind.
Biografía del autor:
Chris Ford is a (mostly) retired Physics lecturer and teacher-trainer. Like more scientists than care to admit, he was inspired as a youngester by science fiction -- not the Elves and Magic School Fantasy stuff, but the traditional 'what if' alternative futures style. Since he can't find enough of this around nowadays, he decided to write some himself. He lives in the West Midlands, UK, with his wife Wendy, a talented artist and former sociologist. They have two grown up daughters. Helen is the scientist and Kat, the arty one, is into literature. Thus, genetic expectations are neatly fulfilled. Chris and Wendy share their home permanently with a grumpy labrador, and occasionally with two ferrets.
