Jeet Kune Do [JKD], which transalates as 'the way of the intercepting fist', was developed over a number of years by Bruce Lee as an anti-thesis to what he saw as the formulaic straightjacket of the classical martial arts which, he argued, failed to allow individuals to fully and honestly express themselves.
