This Book is about a 12 year old girl named Linda who lived in Jackson, Mississippi with her Dad and Mom and her 6 brothers. When her mom decides she can't live with the abuse anymore, they leave Mississippi and moves to Winter Park, Florida. Linda is given to an Uncle at the age of 13. She decides to run away and go to Miami. Trying to make sense of what is happening in her life, she gets involved in drugs, alcohol, homosexuality and prostitution. Then she gets to a point where she feels there is nothing that can help her; she has nowhere to go and no one to turn to. While crossing a field one day with her son, Raymond, she looks down and notices the holes in his shoes. She hears a voice which says to her, "See there, you not just taking yourself down; you taking Raymond with you." After 22 years of addiction, God steps in and gives her a reason to live and her deliverance began.
