The gods of Claygora are angry. A new religion has taken hold in their country, and it is ignoring them. They've issued an ultimatum-either the new cult is destroyed, or Claygora will fall. Yet this prophecy is shared by the upstart believers, who foretell that their own religion must thrive for their civilization to endure. The queen has already massacred thousands of innocent believers, so in return, the upstart cult plots her overthrow. A small group of men, hidden away in a bordello, devise a plan. But are they serious or is their life there too easy? In this ancient world of opulence, royalty, prostitutes, slaves, and philosophers, life and love are hard to hold. One devout follower, Lex, strong, convincing, resolute, and oft distracted by handsome young men, realizes he's the only one with a chance to save his country.

Jerry Rabushka is a novelist, playwright, musician, and composer. Over 100 of his scripts have been published and are produced throughout the U.S. and internationally. He’s won several writing awards including both the Saints and Sinners playwriting and short fiction contests; his short story Sample Day” is included in a BSB anthology. Musical achievements include several albums or original music, one of which was an OutMusic award nominee; being named a ragtime composition contest finalist; and receiving an award for a musical score. In theater, he was recognized for his efforts in bringing LGBT performers to St. Louis.
The Prophecy is Rabushka’s second published novel. It began with a college assignment to write a short story based on a dream, and over the years, those six pages worked their way into the book. He has logged over 20 years as a writer/editor of a national trade publication. Rabushka is a lifelong resident of St. Louis, MO, where he lives with his partner, Isaac Cherry.
