She currently resides in Aravaipa Canyon next to Aravaipa Creek with her husband of 43 years. Although The Moon Saw It All is her first children's book, it's not the first time Young's work has been published. Her childhood poems, The Arizona Desert, It's Springtime in this Country and A lonely Shepherd's Tale were all printed in the Durango newspaper.
