Catherine Sasanov is the author of one previous collection of poems, Traditions of Bread and Violence, and of the theater piece Las Horas de Belen: A Book of Hours, commissioned by Mabou Mines. Her work has appeared in such journals as Agni, Caliban, Columbia, Commonweal, Field, and Poetry. She has received fellowships and awards from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Rockefeller Foundation, the Ludwig Vogelstein Foundation, and the MacDowell Colony. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Rosanna Warren teaches comparative literature at Boston University. Her books include Snow Day, Each Leaf Shines Separate, and Stained Glass. She is the editor of The Art of Translation: Voices from the Field, also published by Northeastern University Press. Winner of the Lavan Award of the Academy of American Poets, she has received a Nation/Discovery Award and fellowships and grants from the Guggenheim Foundation, the Ingram Merrill Foundation, and the American Council of Learned Societies.
