Biografía del autor:
Chuck Hagen is an author and artist living in Maine. For the last 20 years he has been working and studying with various elders in Mexico (studying the culture that was Mexico before the invasion of the Spanish); lecturing on the Native Culture of the Americas at several schools and institutions; and giving workshops on drum making and Native crafts. He was hired by the Maine Arts Commission as a storyteller in schools, in the Artist in Residency Program.' He owned the Native store and gallery Native Arts Inc' which connected people with Native culture since 1989. Chuck is indebted to Luis Cedillo and all the others for sharing this knowledge with him. He has continued to work with the indigenous people there, to better understand the culture of pre-Hispanic Mexico. Luis Cedillo is a teacher and guide from Mexico. He is a Professor of indigenous philosophy, history, mathematics and ceremony. He is a philosopher, a bee keeper, and has knowledge of astronomy. Since he was a small boy he has been taught the pre-Hispanic culture and ancestral traditions of Mexico, having many elders share their knowledge of the ancestors with him throughout his life's journey. He views the universe with an all encompassing view, able to look at things scientifically and mathematically, yet also share the philosophical point of view in a way even a person just meeting him would understand.
