Philip Shelby, the author of the acclaimed Days of Drums, was raised in Burlington, Vermont and Montreal, Canada. He graduated from McGill University where he specialized in International Security and Foreign Relations under future National Security advisor Zbignew Brzezinski. After graduate work at the Sorbonne and the University of London, he returned to the United States to live in New York City, Dallas, and Berkeley. He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife.
