Oscar E. Swan is a Professor of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Pittsburgh, USA. He is the author of numerous articles and textbooks on Russian and Polish linguistics and pedagogy, and on Polish culture and cultural history―most recently A Kaleidoscope of Polish History and Culture.
