There are a number of books in the BL catalogue published by Aug. Siegle between 1877 and 1905, mainly of German interest. From 1906 onwards, Siegle appears to have joined forces with Hill to form Siegle, Hill & Co., publishers of a broader range of works. We can find very little information on the author. The Deutche Nationalbibliothek lists a Klara Dressel, giving the date of birth as 1850. Only one work is listed: Trugsonne, 1915. The Deutsches Literatur-Lexikon lists Klara Dressel as the author of several works; the only one which predates this translation is Der Allerweltsfreund. Lebensbild in vier Acten, 1885.
