jdp books is a small, family owned bookseller, selling pre-owned books and a small selection of fine art, to the UK and worldwide. Our aim is to unite mainly academic readers and researchers with the knowledge they seek, and we would love our books to go to those who have a real interest in the subjects we hold. We value the ethos of sustainability and encourage the re-use of pre-owned books. We specialize primarily in History, the Classics and Archaeology, but we also hold a wide range of titles across many subjects, including some rare and out of print and first editions. We hold titles in Travel and exploration, Poetry, Literature, Politics, Art, Economics and more, and we hope to send our customers very good quality books with as little signs of wear as possible (depending, of course, on the age of the book). We also hold a small but growing number of art works, which we feel might be of interest to art lovers. Our dedicated team are happy to help with all enquiries and will try to ensure you find the book or artwork you are looking for.

All prices are in GBP net. Purchases should be made through the ABE processed card payment method, or, if in person, by cash.
A full refund will be made within 30 days if not entirely happy with your books.

Orders are usually shipped within 2 business days and should be recieved within 7 working days of the receipt of the order in normal circumstances. If your book hasn't been delivered within 7 days, please contact us.
Domestic UK shipping will be by the Royal Mail 48 Tracked service unless otherwise requested.
Shipping to Europe and Internationally will be by Royal Mail International Tracked and /or signed for airmail or similar service. Please be aware of possible extended delivery times for these areas.
N.B. Additional charges may be required for postage on heavy and/or large items. Customers will be contacted if this is necessary.
