Early, Probably Original Matching Full Calf Bindings Of The History, Morocco Spine Labels, 6 Gilt Tooled Bands, Ornately Gilt In Each Compartment, Elaborately Blind-Stamped Covers; The Life Is Bound In A Nearly Identical But Very Slightly Differently Tooled Binding In Imitation Of The "History". Bookplates Of The D'aubeney Family In Each Volume, No Other Names Or Marks. Foredges And Bottom Edges Of Page Block Colored Red. All Volumes Edgeworn, Top And Bottom Edges Of Spines Worn Down To Level Of Page Block, Joints Cracked And With Front Covers Of Volumes I And Ii Detached But Present. Contents Generally Fine, No Foxing, Just Three Tiny Wormholes At Right Edge Of First Few Pages Of Vol Ii Well Outside The Plate Mark And Text.
